I don't usually *say* when I'm not proud of a piece cause externalizing it just sours the piece for others. but there's a good chunk where I'm holding my head in agony wishing I could have done better

i have such a weird relationship with creating and art cause it's like. I need to create, I need to or I'll shrivel up or die

but every time I draw something I'm like. god I hate anatomy. colors suck. making the face look right sucks. drawing clothes is evil. art is the bane of my existence

i was convinced I wanted to be an animator when I was a kid and was so excited to learn and get to make my stories real and then I tried animating one day and was like "this fucking sucks. what the fuck"

Drawing Mewtwo ended up making me teary eyes after realizing what little childhood he had. I like to think of the idea that Mewtwo tries regression and looks inwards like I do, to that vulnerable and powerful inner child, and heals.
