Think of the CD Project as some large "expansion" of CD's remaster that pulls from all versions. Best to have what you own, right?

For the record, we aren't the first to do DLC checks with Knuckles; Miracle Edition does this. the original KTE CD mod does this.

Amy will be a base playable character, but she will only have her Forever Moveset(s) by default. If you have the DLC, you will have the ability to use a version of the Origins moveset.

It's simple, really; the PC (Windows, Linux) versions of the CD project will check directly on steam if you own the game & the DLC. if it doesn't find it, it won't activate. simple as that. no building shenanigans. none of that.
Just own the game and DLC. Easy.
