Manifesting that 2026 is the year we make our cute websites. 💖
littlerecordgirl.bsky.social
That's a healthy way to enjoy it tbh! I won't lie, at the time I did think it and Californication were setting a new bar for TV show writing, but 2006 was a weird time (and I was 15). That's my excuse anyway.
littlerecordgirl.bsky.social
Hope it didn't seem like I was getting at ya! Honestly I just wanna see all your amazing art together. 💖
Mine is a state and I need to re-make it asap, but it's such a big task. ;-;
Cba, haha.

I'm jealous you get to watch it all for the first time.
The prequel and latest season are worth a worth too if they weren't part of your plans. The camp keeps going.
littlerecordgirl.bsky.social
Camp is the best way to put it. In no way would I ever say its the best written TV show ever made (my favorite is Six Feet Under, Hall's first TV outing), but I enjoyed every second of it. Well, maybe not the OG last two seasons.
littlerecordgirl.bsky.social
Ahhh, I just checked and yours in super cute!
Looks very professional.
Surprised you don't have a main site for your art/portfolio stuff though! (Unless you do and I can't find it as I'm silly.)
littlerecordgirl.bsky.social
It's all worth it for that glorious season four. (I haven't read the books, but did watch it when it aired/am a fan and have heard they're very different as a heads up!)

This thread is incredible - go check out the sites, and online shops of some very cool artists and creatives.

Suddenly remembered that I need to do up my site from the ground up, which I will work on in the new year, I promise.

Let's do a web search exercise. Think of your favorite artists and creators and find their NON SOCIAL MEDIA links--websites, stores, blogs--then share them in the replies. Also your own if applicable. Then bookmark their website/subscribe to them directly if you haven't. Let's get really connected.

I'm still upset I couldn't afford the Buffy the Vampire Slayer figgure playset when I spotted it in Poundstretcher many years ago, so I would 'grrr arg' with joy if this were to be a reality.
littlerecordgirl.bsky.social
High school was not nearly as nice when it came to being a nerd, that's for sure. But that memory will stay with me forever, and makes Discovery that much more of a top-tier album for me.

Might have to pop that song on the wedding playlist if we ever can afford a proper wedding day.

All the Interstella 5555 stuff in Fortnite reminds me of P7 camp, where the disco played 'Digital Love' and my class ran over to me as it was the "Rosie anime song." They then proceeded to dance around me with me in a circle, as they knew I loved anime so much - one of my favourite memories.

Guessing this is a Super Mario Galaxy movie teaser (baby has Princess Rosalina's bangs) or new Chibi-Robo. My second guess is wishful thinking.

While chilling out before starting a late Prime Day shift, I stumbled on this wonderful video essay about cat acting in film. If you have a spare 22 minutes on your break, or want to break up the doom-scrolling, I highly recommend it!

@bossfightbooks.com are still awesome people as far as I know.

And they have a book on ZZT.

It's scary, but I wish I got my career and bits and bobs sorted a lot earlier. But then even just, being in a position where you can sit and plan things also comes with privilege. Your 30s is weird, man.
littlerecordgirl.bsky.social
For example, if you want children, you might have a literal biological clock against you, and it's okay to start thinking about that there and then.

A lot of people seem to think access to IVF and fertility help after 35 is easy to come by and accessible to everyone, when it's not.
littlerecordgirl.bsky.social
Not to be a downer, but people who say "you have plenty of time" to do anything you want to do in your 30s are those who have the privilege of time and funds to take their time in life.

I fully recommend starting to plan an estimate of when/what age you'd like to do things, once you turn 30.

Those who are 35+, what advice do you have for people just entering their 30s?
littlerecordgirl.bsky.social
At least not seeing big photos and TV shows means you have plenty to watch now. I know a lot of it hasn't aged well but what I'd give to watch the OG Toy Story for the first time. 💖

I definitely had the luck of having a young mum for knowing about that sorta stuff! We were skint but I always feel privileged that she'd like, play Nirvana and teach me about film history.

You'd probably get on with her rn as she's the same. Just more chill and less skint.
littlerecordgirl.bsky.social
Weirdly we got a poor income cable deal too? But my mum did use many a credit card to give me access to movies, games and popular media as that was still much cheaper than Disneyland, as she put it.

The richer kids usually actually went outside and on holidays and had proper hobbies. 😂
littlerecordgirl.bsky.social
I found it to be the opposite strangely. There were a lot more opportunities to see films for cheap in the 90s as cinemas used to do advanced screenings you could see for free via newspapers. Which is how I saw the majority of Disney films!

(Having cousins to borrow videos from helped too!)

We now still quote it (and classic Simpsons) to each other every day. Maybe that's a bad thing, but it feels weirdly comforting.
