Baldur's Gate 3 fan comic. True Soul Z'rell activates her psionic abilities to connect to the tadpole in Aldiirn's head. "You came here to answer the Absolute's Call," she says with a confident grin, "Let's see what you're made of." Aldiirn finds himself in a pickle - Z'rell could easily discover that he's not really a True Soul and bring all of Moonrise down on his party. He grimaces, for his only hope is to distract her with his lusts for Astarion. Aldiirn stalwartly faces Z'rell as if he was facing a firing squad, imagining walking side by side with Astarion... reaching for his hand, intertwining fingers, clasping each other... in public. "You disgust me," Z'rell sneers at such brazen fantasies.

(2/2) That night Aldiirn had a full blown panic attack and resorted to asking Astarion to talk him down, since Astarion was the most similar to his mates to his mates who would do the same. Astarion wasn't super pleased but turned out to be better than how he usually entertained folk.

Ohhey turns out being a Vhaeraunite with experience fighting a larger foe and a courier with logistics experience work pretty well together! And we can still stab people. That's the important part of this plan after all. #art #bg3
Aldiirn engages lecture mode. "Moonrise is the seat of the Absolute, we won't be able to remove their leadership and let the rest disperse, they'll have a chain of command. "Their forces are too large to take head on, we'll have to break them up and whittle them down little by little." "Our best bet would be to attack and sabotage supply caravans. They'll have to spread out defences which will be easier for us. "An army that's starving won't last long. Eventually they will be forced to abandon Moonrise." Astarion is simultaneously impressed that Aldiirn has a plan like this ready to go, and bored out of his skull at the drudgery of it all. And yet Aldiirn continues! "If they stay, we can nudge them out with acts of internal sabotage. Erode the foundation from within. "When they have no choice but to move operations, they'll bring the control device into the open where it's vulnerable." Aldiirn gives Astarion a smug smile, letting the details of an actual plan sink in. Astarion pouts. "...And then you can stab someone," Aldiirn offers to Astarion. Astarion lights up, "I was starting to fear this plan would be boring!"

"Think of how much more we could accomplish with the forces of the Absolute at our command!" Astarion continues despite the doubt on Aldiirn's face. "Hundreds, thousands are infected by the cult, and not just goblin trash, people with real power! All of it could be ours if we take control of the tadpoles!" "And how are we meant to do that, exactly?" Aldiirn slyly pops Astarion's big plan. "I mean," Astarion struggles, "I assume there's a device that controls the tadpoles, we find it, stab someone, and ermm..." Astarion finally whines, "Showing up and causing chaos has worked for us so far!" "It won't work as well at Moonrise."
