If they cause radar interference, then offshore oil rigs, which are way bigger, way more invasive, way more dangerous to life and limb, and way more complex, should also be stopped for the same reasons.

The last time I quit the Atlantic, it was over one of those, I believe. If there’s one thing that gives me hope of surviving in a flood of AI slop, it’s that top news in the US has forever been foisting reactionary slop masked in a decent grasp of English, to give the veneer of erudition to it.
