4/winters, why now? Was there an underlying condition that went untreated? New York has a decent system for indigent health but I doubt he took advantage of it. What was his story? Did he have any family? I will never know the answers.⁰ But I care. May Henry's memory be a blessing.

3/ I found out what happened. Last week was freezing here. Apparently my building staff saw him freezing and called an ambulance. He walked into the ambulance under his own power but the building got a call the following day that he had passed away. So many questions, he survived so m any cold

2/ listening to an old fashioned radio. He didn't engage with anyone but people, especially the staff of my building took care of him. He got food, blankets, warm clothes etc. Today I walked past his spot and he wasn't there. There were flowers. And a sign saying RIP Henry. I never knew his name.

So I never post but this is really bothering me so I will share it. Even before I moved to my current home (NYC co-op)in 2008 there has been a homeless man "living" on my block. He was obviously severely mentally ill (on another planet, my doorman said) but totally harmless. He sat in a chair,

As someone who grew up a mile from Ground Zero (admittedly I was long gone by 9/11 but my mother was still there and saw it all live out her window) Kristie Noem as Sec DHS does not make me feel safe. Just damn glad my cats are indoor only.
