This pointing the finger of antisemitism at every criticism of Israel is so damaging because there are people who should be allies who now will not hear it when we call out REAL antisemitism- to them it’s all a smear.

& meanwhile Gazans are murdered.

Rachel Shabi having to explain that 'death to the IDF' is not antisemitic is a sign of how far the smears have gone. And Rachel is right, there are dangerous consequences to that.

100 years ago today, Tony Benn was born.

This is from 2009 when he defied the BBC’s ban on a humanitarian appeal for Palestine.

For 77 years, Israel has killed & displaced Palestinians & the BBC continues to dehumanise them. Benn saw this injustice clearly & stood against it 🇵🇸

Around 1 in 20 people had #LongCovid & nearly 1 in 10 were not sure if they have it.
We did adjusted analysis by social & demographic attributes to find out who's more likely to have LC or is uncertain about it.

Every time the world attention is turned towards Trump's antics, or any other distraction, Israel uses the opportunity to ratchet up the genocide of Gaza and ethnic cleansing of West Bank.

PS I know "ethnic cleansing" started out as a euphemism, but is now understood as full crime against humanity.

Alongside listening to 'the great derangement' (the analysis and prose stops you in your tracks) and desperately trying to finish kare Atkinson 'emotionally weird' for the fiction book club I'm in (just can't get into it despite loving others by her).
