Does the UK have a Culture Secretary, with responsibility for this stuff, who might take an interest in how media regulation works? If there is such a person, does anyone know what she/he does all day?

Jordan’s rant is pure race-baiting confused disinformation.

Truly shocking & shameful to hear a BBC employee go off like this on air.

Thank you, Barry, for pushing back & standing up to the tedious angry bigotry that is being forced down our throats 👏👏👏👏

Simon Jordan on TalkSport, unchallenged yet again.

As a Talksport employee, I am embarrassed by this rebuttal of what Neville said. This moron pontificates without question. It is bonkers.

And yeah, i'll probably be sacked. Fuck it.

"We want people to be living in mixed communities, don't we?"

Robert Jenrick's home is in Eye, Herefordshire, where 165 out of 166 residents were white at the time of the last census.

Wow. Robert Jenrick doubles down by branding a black journalist's questions "ridiculous" and saying that the problem is not his comments, but "journalists like you who pop up and try to knock me down", adding that "this is the reason why terrorist attacks happen". ~AA

Apparently, this was "nothing to do with skin colour". Robert Jenrick just likes "mixed communities". Which is why he has also criticised very white neighbourhoods or towns and villages up and down the UK, umm... <checks notes> never.

Ashamed to say I voted for these people.

The lesser of two evils is still evil.

Will never make that mistake again.

People recognised as refugees fleeing persecution & granted the right to live in the UK to be denied the right to be joined safely by their spouse & children.

This Labour govt is a moral void, a stinking darkness, an empty hollow of cowardice & contempt. #r4today www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

And why call it 'golden ticket'?

Disgraceful language. These people have lost everything. Should they also lose their spouses and children?

A reminder that last year 4,671 family reunion visas were granted.

4,671.

Does anyone think this number is a major problem for the UK economy and society?

I volunteer at my local refugee charity, dealing with people who have been through unbelievable trauma. The one thing that sustains them is the knowledge that some day, they will be reunited with their loved ones. This cruel proposal guarantees more deaths of women and children in the Channel.

So if I’ve grasped the galaxy-brained strategy here, it’s:
✅ Day 1: reassure target voters that migrants are a problem & you’re ready to make them suffer
✅ Day 2: tell target voters their ideas are racist
✅ Day 3: reassure target voters that migrants are a problem & you’re ready to make them suffer

Telegraph admits article by Conservative immigration spokeperson Katie Lam used entirely fictional stats from Centre for Policy Studies (no, *not* the £234 bn, different ones!).

Publishes entirely inadequate correction which still makes false claims about migrant wages.
