Bored medical curiosity about Patel’s unusual eyes and Googled it. AI, as usual, does not disappoint! So, they can’t confirm that he had a Rudy Giuliani eye transplant??? (We don’t transplant eyes and even corneas are from deceased donors.) 😳

No kings in Anchorage! 3 yo grandson with both his paternal and maternal (me)grandmas 💕. He also had his own sign that said “no kings, yes kisses” but had to borrow mine periodically so he could yell “quack!”.

Reading US news on a visit to Canada is even more surreal. Which city is being invaded this week? We’re arresting toddlers? Which political opponent is being indicted? And Canadians are just up here living in a normal democracy like it’s 2024 or something.

Well, the list of contributors is a whole clown car. Fruits and vegetables contain vitamin D? (No…) Beef helps maintain skeletal muscle ? Does that mean fish, chicken and plant-based sources don’t? Biggest miss? NO mention of the leading cause of childhood mortality which is guns.

Today’s New York Times: “critics call it extortion”. It IS extortion! Why to we need to vaguely cite critics? Also, “context” for his BS about ending multiple wars? It’s not context if you’re just expanding on his lies.

Looking for fun sign ideas to protest the Trump-Putin meeting in Alaska this Friday. (I live in Anchorage but wouldn’t be surprised if they end up on the military base, JBER, so protest won’t be near the perpetrators, I mean participants.

Had to put all of the dog toys away to have realtor look at the house and now that they’re back, he’s angrily hoarding them. Spending today on touch-up paint and dog apologies!

Wonder if they’ll entertain queries about why other kids (US citizens) are being detained by ICE….or are we just doing bounce houses and face-painting ?

I won’t defend Murkowski’s reprehensible vote but it does seem wrong that we heap all of the responsibility on her because she admitted to having a conscience before voting in support but we let her colleagues off of the hook because they were too callous to admit it was a terrible bill.

Working on packing a 4-bedroom house on my day off but dog is sure that the highest use of my time is “fetch”.

The whiplash is…amazing. This morning I was in clinic and incensed that RFK Jr wants to undermine the progress we’ve made in management of HIV. (It’s literally gone from a death sentence to a manageable chronic illness over the course of my career.)
This evening…starts a war. Truly hard to focus.

The whiplash is…amazing. This morning I was in clinic and incensed that RFK Jr wants to undermine the progress we’ve made in management of HIV. (It’s literally gone from a death sentence to a manageable chronic illness over the course of my career.)
This evening…starts a war. Truly hard to focus.

I can absolutely imagine quitting residency-came VERY close as a Peds resident with a newborn and a 2 yo doing q 3 overnight call- but reality of never practicing and never recouping my investment of time and money brought me to my senses. There has to be a lot more to this story!

Just received a routine notice of a new baby. (Pediatrician.) In addition to the usual info., the nurse reported that “he declined the hep B vaccine”. Either she’s had a long night shift or RFK the Lesser has them coming out of the womb refusing vaccines now!
