ATTN FEDERAL WORKERS: I’ll say this again: download all your SF-50s, performance evals, and your eOPF.

Now.

Print hard copies.

And make sure you file an informal grievance with your supervisor within 15 days of any adverse action. Here is a template: www.muellershewrote.com/p/informal-g...

Back to the Oscar winners - all the movies we’ve watched so far were released before the decency law was enacted so there’s quite a bit more nudity, violence, gay characters, and other mature themes than we expected. It’s so fascinating.

We finished the movie of the day so now watching a recently released show with a brief basketball scene, and of course he has comments on the kid’s shooting form. We don’t know how to critique art but we do know how to critique basketball skills!

We’ve watched 4 movies so far and I feel like I’ve already learned so much. One of the biggest things is that people don’t change. It’s wild how “modern”some (huge emphasis on SOME) of the characters feel. And the stories that sold tickets back then still sell today.

Now, neither of us are in the film industry, have any connections to the film industry, didn’t go to school for film, etc. total laypeople. We have no idea what we are doing as far as critiquing goes. But we enjoy the arts and entertainment and hey, why not use our brains while we couch rot?

We decided just watching them wouldn’t be enough, we’d need proof we did this, right? So we set up a google sheet to document our ratings for categories like storyline, acting, overall score, etc. We also have a tab dedicated to each film with a more in depth review from both of us

My husband’s “resolution” this year is to watch all Best Picture Oscar winners, starting with the first film and working up to present day. I decided to join him on this endeavor. So since early January, every Sunday we watch an Oscar winner.
