The good news following todays check is that there are no obvious signs of bowel, or rectal, cancer. They've taken 4-5 biopsies (or, as I think of them, after My Big Fat Greek Wedding, 'beebopsies'), and, other than waiting for the results, its back over to my GP to figure out what happens next.

I am off to Mile End Hospital, having been up since 4.45am, drinking the most appalling pre-colonoscopy preparation.

I did not realise that it was possible for intestines to make such demonic, unearthly, noises.

Tonight's dinner

Lamb, parsley, white wine, onion, garlic & broad bean casserole, seasoned with paprika and bay.

This is my last cook before undergoing a colonoscopy on Monday, so the leftovers are only for my partner 🙂

So, after a third bout of severe gastric issues in a month, it is time to return to the GP. I *hope* that my colonoscopy will take place at the end of this week, and we can start to get to the bottom of what is happening with my shonky innards

I know who Nus Ghani MP is - not because we always agree - but because she’s been serving her constituency (as well as lewks) since 2015.

Who the hell is Lucy White?!

Ah, a quick google search reveals her as a rentagob for GB ‘news.’

I know which one is qualified to chair the budget debate.

All these references to 'Broken Britain' irritate me greatly. We have many problems in the United Kingdom, but it is not 'broken', and, like our one-time relationship with the EU, the alternative - as offered by the likes of Mr Farage - is deeply unappealing to me.
The Daily Mail, Daily Express, Times and Daily Telegraph are ALL carrying this two-page advert prominently within their news pages today.

That tells you a LOT about these newspapers - and the £££ available to Farage

I've been on the receiving end of sudden, unexpected, Uber fares, more than once. Once, a driver cancelled the job, after 10 minutes, then charged me for a non-existent 1 minute journey that was literally a few doors down a random street in the area www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/uk-news...?
Mum and son got in a 10-minute Uber, and couldn't believe what the app told them
Uber has since refunded Jay Myers, but he says he'd think twice about using the app again
