More pictures of the discord on discord. The people who make the maps for Geogussr also went on strike in protest, causing blackouts in a lot of the game.

You can also vote with your money, by not buying anything made in the US.

They won't be able to correct it all. Even if they change the entire state tax code to accommodate the tariffs not being part of the cost, the added transportation costs due to the tariffs still get added in. And that's assuming states are willing to change something so erratic.

My deep, dark, and desperate desire for closure.

I get the urge to block, but I always try to engage as a friend with them when I encounter them. Find a mutual point of understanding and work out from there.

But yeah, it's easier to block and move on.

We're about 2 years away from this being prime time and no one flinching.

Take breaks. Like with stress at work, you need them.

Disconnect for half a day, a full day, 2 or 3 days. If you use your phone for alarm/appointments then only look at those for that time. Turn wifi and data off.

I do 3 day breaks once a month th at least as by day 2 I feel so refreshed.

Should be titled: why do we need 4 left wing political parties?

Come on Australia, you can improve that number. Get to 0% Tesla sales and Canada will give you all free passes on our ski hills next winter.

The carbon tax part is my personal favorite, because Pierre was a Conservative MP when the Conservative Party first came up with the federal carbon tax (called Cap and trade).

Also, the best sabotage to the current regime may be with your pocketbook. Don't buy American goods. Buy Canadian, Mexican, EU, Asian... anywhere but American. Hit the corporations hard, because they have the best chance of causing a change.
March 10, 2025 at 5:03 PM
My one recommendation if you are unsure what to do, avoid all American products, hit American corps with your pocketbook, they are the best chance at getting through to your leaders. Buy Canadian, buy Mexican, buy EU goods, buy Asian goods, just nothing made in America. Sabotage their efforts.
March 10, 2025 at 5:00 PM
Doesn't matter, hit American corps hard if you want change. Stop buying American goods.
March 10, 2025 at 4:50 PM
Not here in Canada (or most provinces for that matter). All US products removed from shelves indefinitely in retaliation for the trade war and threats to our sovereignty.

If you don't support the current administration, I recommend hitting the US corporations first, don't buy American.

Genuinely happy with the switch to Crown Royal, which I had sipped here and there before, but now with all US options gone from shelves even the act of buying Canadian whiskey gives me a bit of a kick.

I can't imagine going back to the US brands now to be honest, even if they appear back in stores
March 10, 2025 at 4:45 PM
Sorry you are living there, but words are of little value if they aren't followed by action. Buy Canadian and Mexican goods ONLY, show up at every protest, and sabotage your government in every way possible if you want to help.
March 10, 2025 at 1:09 PM
I've been corrected, in some cases the product is being shipped back at the expense of the supplier (the company that makes the product) as per contract rules. So the american companies are not only losing business, but paying to lose business.

The parts I always focused on (meaning the parts I didn't fall asleep reading) were about strength when under attack. "For it is precisely when a force has fallen into harm's way that is capable of striking a blow for victory." Very fitting for Canada currently

Going to storage. Same here in Nova Scotia. Won't be available for stores, restaurants, or anyone. Locked away, won't be returned either.

I'm not trying to impress you, I'm trying to tell you that you are part of the problem, and just like the Republicans, you just aren't letting yourself see it.
March 6, 2025 at 3:47 AM
No, I still don't think you understand. If our borders closed entirely to all trade, both economies die instantly. They are completely symbiotic. The immediate effect would be job losses in the tens of millions, and the after effects would essentially be the great depression. All states/provinces.

21 million Americans rely on Canadian online pharmacies... 100% of American auto manufacturing jobs rely on the tied in auto system... 95% of the potash that the American Agricultural industry requires comes from Canada
