I am traveling and got the chance to try my hand at stitching a traditional Vietnamese conical hat.

New "coverlet" (no batting) with ice dyed squares. Can you see the illusion of the squares floating off the fabric?

Borrowed my daughter's cat photo for #caturday.
She's recovering from surgery by lounging in pajamas and watching bird videos.
(The suit is way better than a cone to keep her from the incision!)

Yesterday's project: a drawstring gift bag for a bridal shower gift. This would have taken any other quilter a half hour. It took me all day 😆

Scrappy #quilt done!

As a #kidlit #writer, this quilt was built on the idea of a campground at night, with each campsite surrounded by dreams of all the fun things they saw that day.

First machine quilting project. I'm very excited this little curtain for my camper turned out so well. Next up: learning to bind the edges!

If you need a break from the real world right now, this book is truly a delight. I scarfed it up in three days.

Not #kidlit but certainly suitable for teens and adults, especially those who love #cats.

It reassures me to recognize that nature is resilient and that birds don't give a flip about us humans, especially politicians. Trying to live in the now and not read too much news.

Thanks! I just checked it out from my public library! I just read Caste by Isabel Wilkerson, and this seems like a good follow-up.

Finished reading my first book of the year. Very interesting! I recommend it for anyone who would like a clear lens through which to view issues and policies in the US.

Timeline joy. This mountain in #Sintra has had people living on it or building forts in it since 5000 BC (at least). That's the Atlantic on the horizon.
