Yep. Us too. I can't fathom why they didn't here - particularly given the scale of it. Mind you given the utter shambles my MA grad was i suppose maybe I should be less surprised. There's a reason I got £400 compensation for it

I wish I was joking. Both my friends who work there have confirmed it as have friends my colleagues have over there. It's appalling

Absolutely. It's not the only factor at play either but it certainly didn't help. But certainly talking to friends in admin/PS in other institutions here and in england the picture is pretty bleak everywhere at the moment sadly.

That's assuming they operate the same way as we do at work but I'm pretty sure its fairly standard. Not sure with others but top ups provide an obvious revenue stream. And then maybe they aim to attract more students to PG progs. HE sector has suffered hugely with the study/work visa change

Well if it's a TNE franchise it likely won't be different to anything they have in place already. It'll just be franchising home programmes for delivery in an institution and potentially some top-up programmes at UG level where students complete their final year at the home institution.

It's not clear whether this is a franchise TNE partnership or a physical campus. I suspect the former though (particularly in view of the finsncial situation so many institutions incl cardiff are facing right now) so calling it a 'branch campus' is a little misleading in my view.
