You can tell a lot about a person by whom they choose as their enemies. What kind of dipshits would make enemies of librarians?

So, have they trained AI to pick fruit yet?

You can try to be uncool in public all you like. Take Kevin along in a utilikilt, and you'll always fail. Face it. You're the new hipster couple in town.

You may have noticed that I have often used the word "dipshit" when referencing a member of our country's current administration. That includes agency heads, advisors, staff, and the Dipshit in Chief (DIC).

So, I couldn't find the right bag to hold a full camera/teleprompter assembly. The foam rubber does give me a great semi-assembled option, for now. I can always improve it later, and the kit will be ever-changing, so it appears the ebike remote video "truck" is almost ready to go.
lockjawtheogre.bsky.social
The idea is that my ebike will carry the cameras, tripods, lighting, editing bay, teleprompter, "hair and makeup," remote crew, and talent. I'll ride out, set up, shoot video, break down, and ride to the next spot multiple times in one day, and get stuff done.
lockjawtheogre.bsky.social
Now that I have the foam rubber padding I need, I can spend time today working on a carrying device for my camera/teleprompter combo that will keep it safe when moving on my ebike. After that, I'll work on packing the studio bike for remote video work days.

i wish youtube had a button that did more than "don't recommend me this channel again." like i need to go further than not seeing this channel again. i need to be recommended the opposite of it actually.

So, the whole big project thing I've been working on needs safe transport for a camera/teleprompter combo that works on a bike. I went to a local upholsterer, said I needed some scrap foam, and asked where the box was. He turned on a light in a room, and waved his arm around. I have a foam source.

The salt block is for the deer. The foam rubber is for my "carry a camera and teleprompter on the bike safely" project. The bike ride was just for me, baby.

I was so concerned about properly strapping the 50lb salt block to my ebike I forgot to return the cart. Since I was already across town I also made stops for foam rubber for a project, and some groceries.

When I need a good pick-me-up, I scroll through the "Cargo Bikes" feed on bsky and smile.

@sparksofficial.bsky.social is a weird band. I can listen to any of their albums through a LONG career, happily, except the one they regret agreeing to do. At the same time, I can't recommend them to my friends, because they just don't get it.

I think we should pull Riley Rossmo in for "Modesty Plays" or "Dick Around," for sure.

I have a dream. I'd love to assemble some top artists and do a @sparksofficial.bsky.social graphic novel, just the artists' take on their perfect songs.

Imagine Amanda Conner drawing LADIES or Brian Bolland drawing SHERLOCK HOLMES or Kevin Maguire drawing THIS TOWN AIN'T BIG ENOUGH FOR BOTH OF US.

Did a two-week test to see if annoying gaming group guy was still annoying. Never one to let someone's mistake go unnoticed by everyone, he's definitely going back on mute. I'm not waiting to be a target again. Let the others suffer.

Well, it was re-printed in my local paper in 1888. It may have been written earlier. What do I know?
lockjawtheogre.bsky.social
I've been reading local newspapers from 1988. It's an election year. There's a lot of politics. I am learning, however, that the current Republican Party's policy choices could be argued using the same words they used in 1888, because the policies are pretty much identical.

My protector-kitty Seymour has, with age, become more cuddly. Always demanding, now he's a lap cat, and suddenly a shoulder cat too. The Countess just came into the room cursing. She fell for the cat trap, and took one to the shoulder.

While researching brownstone mining in the local area, I came across a news article from the 1890s. It turned out to be an amazing historic document. Now I want to go back and read the local newspapers. All of them.

So, there was a quarry West of "Three Points." Where's that? It turns out, the answer was in in 1930s newspaper. That info, and a visit to the local GIS department's online maps, and I've located the quarry! #History is fun

Here's a little hack for you. When you want to share your #wildlife #photography with your wife through Discord, you can use Bluesky posting as an image resizer to stay under size limits.

These two yearlings are quite used to us being there by now, so the range for these shots is pretty close. Wide angle for parallax calculations.

Since this is the pair we refer to as "George and Gracie," here's a shot of the other. I took 144 photos. I'm just sharing some quick crops of nice shots. #photography #wildlife
