Euston right now. Entrance gates closed because the station is rammed.
I can reroute my journey home but many others can’t and are stuck with this. Really not impressive.

Where am I today? @marshrail.bsky.social
A difficult one as there’s no hint from the signal number.
(Bonus points if you know which line at this location!)

My train has just arrived in Rainham and it started raining. Do I win £5?

Thank you 😁
Unfortunately I hit the power button and killed the video while trying to make sure the vegetation didn’t knock my phone out my hand - hence the sudden stop.
This about a minute before gives a better view of train and Buddleia.

And here leaving Wrexham, as viewed from 1Z29 (Northern Belle, Cardiff to Llandudno via Hereford).

The mid-west Welsh coast. Where the locos are big & bright yellow, they run the latest European signalling technology, the scenery is glorious and the speed limits are in km/h! 😍

With the arrival of two (semi)portable DAT recorders I think I am now an official collector of old, obsolete but still fascinating tech.
(Can confirm both record and playback fine 🤓)

Fascinating quite how much engineering went into VCRs

It’d be interesting to know why BBC News is listing Deform UK second after the Conservatives (the largest party in this council), then other parties in alphabetical order. Considering Deform have no existing councillors there’s no reason other than to give Deform special coverage. 🤬

The volume and intensity of the PA announcements on Crewe platform 12 is so loud that it’s making my ears hurt. In 2 hours the only train that has called at this platform is one freight train yet it hasn’t stopped for more than a few minutes.

Well I’m just thrilled that this dangerous goods train will be 5m away from me for the next 25 minutes 🤨🔥
April 28, 2025 at 1:19 PM
IT’S STILL THERE!
This is the Rabbit base station that I have photographed at Watford junction Platform 8 years ago. It’s still there (as of yesterday). I can’t help wondering if it’s still connected to a power supply, too… 🤔

So my life has become this. Trudging around the garden centre pushing the trolley, visiting the cafe for breakfast, then taking photos of plants with funny names to amuse myself… 🤨

Looks like I got a “window” seat again 🙄

As we edge closer to it - it’s good to know that forward thinking minds at the WSJ have already considered this problem.

£220 worth of eggs about his person is good but how many can he stuff up his bum?

Full marks to Google maps for showing the North Hyde substation as temporarily closed 😎. The recent reviews are predictably amusing too.

On second thoughts I’ll sit somewhere else 😬

(Who clips their toe nails on the flipping train?!)

Not sure I’d call seat A29 a “Window” seat… 🤔

I absolutely love the comedy timing of the bleep in this scene from Bad Boys.
(The scene is set around 2016)

I’m guessing the OP lives here?
The rear of a dwelling, taken in summer 2023 from a train in Devon, England.

Yeah, this seems legit… 🤔
