My expectations were “better than Burger King” and even with that low bar I was disappointed. Seeing Asda was involved explains a lot, really. A shame as it means it’s Burger King in Friday.

It’s only when those sodding self service terminals are in staff mode do they work properly and fast enough for me to find them usable.

TBH I’d much rather have my shopping briskly flung at me by the meat bag at the staffed checkout.

And several around here do.

Aldi tends not to have self service tills though.

I help manage 100 volunteers at a charity. If someone emails me for a favour and they’re using please and/or thank you they’re much more likely to be the younger ones. Some older ones never use please/thank you.
