I had a really awful migraine the other day, but my cats did their best to help.

Me looking miserable with a migraine while my two cats curl up on the yellow and orange blankets in my lap. Both cats are very, very asleep and I love them.

Update: doot blaster continues to be amazing. My partner and I played off-main all the way up to tempered (8*) apex monsters. Still got 180-no-scoped by the Gore Magala punch though.

I’m coming from LARP, but yes. I have a character who has massive traumas, and they inform every aspect of how she interacts with other characters from violent reactions to being surprised to nightmares to never wanting to be without her security blanket weapons.

Do you ever consider the mental & emotional impact violence has on your PC?

In many TTRPGs violence is a given. Sections of the rules cover combat but what about it's other effects. Does your character sleep soundly or have nightmares? Do they compartmentalize to deal?

I recently reached a new milestone with Coco: lap time on the couch. It’s hard to believe that a mere two years ago she would run and hide if I entered a room.

I did much the same. It’s how I started reading really cool sci fi which sparked my interest in math and physics. My parents also snuck in plenty of reading more tailored for kids, too, such as The Way Things Work and How Do They DO That?

Home libraries are more than books.
When children pass a wall of books and see parents reading, it has the unspoken effect of showing how much knowledge there is to know and how much they don't know.

I recall looking through my mom's books wondering what they were all about and created a curiosity.
