This always completely boggled my mind, even before the dawn of ML/AI. Like…. Transferring to a new rep, who can also access my account details, asking me to repeat every detail yet again…. Shouldn’t the details already be written down?????? It’s somehow even more insulting when AI is involved.
I explain my customer service issue to the stupid ai chatbot I don't want to use but am forced to. It cannot solve my problem, obviously, so it transfers me to an actual human. The human has me explain every detail of my issue all over again in order to solve it. So what the fuck is the point of ai

I had a lot of rice porridge growing up. Adult me still loves it, especially now that I can buy/make all kinds of fun add ons for it.

I was irresponsible and went on a smol adventure this afternoon to a tiny little beach near a smol strip mall. There were kids running around laughing having fun and goddamn I needed to see other people experiencing joy, despite <gestures at everything>. The emotional equivalent of touching grass.

It’s true that 99.9% of the medical system is like this, which only makes me all the more grateful for doctors like my dad who literally coordinated a heist to “acquire” his patient’s medical records from another hospital that was withholding the records out of fear of liability.

Played my first games of Combat Patrol for WH40k yesterday but tragically forgot to take pictures. I had a ton of fun. Way more than my first go at the hobby 20 years ago.
The game still feels heavily balanced towards melee though, especially in the tight quarters and ample cover of Combat Patrol.

Tonight’s paint session was experimental color blocking. I’m not done with it and obviously it’s extremely WIP but I like the direction. It’s very animu.

Green onions are so rewarding to grow at home. They take next to no effort and each plant is currently growing about a quarter inch a day. Multiply by ~25 plants and it really adds up!

The "traditional" structure of TTRPGs puts an enormous amount of pressure on the GM to learn/refine & very little on the players.
Which is somehow seen as more reasonable than spreading the load of learning/contribution across the whole table.

Reverse seared steak and peppercorn sauce by my partner, while I did deep fried leek threads, sautéed leeks, and oil-grilled leek stalks. A+
