25th April in Aberdeenshire, North East Scotland. It doesn't usually happen like this here this early. I've already had to do a load of splits for swarm control. Most years, I would expect to have done a couple by the end of April.

Just thinking, I have served in the British armed forces. I then served in the prison service for 30 years. Both of which required vetting for convictions and character before being accepted.
I'm sure that the same applies to the US armed forces, police, FBI, CIA, etc.

Beautiful snow drops in Aden Country Park, Mintlaw today.
It's only 4 miles from home, I'm fortunate enough to have bee's in the park.
Unfortunately, they were unable to take advantage of this early bonanza today as the maximum temperature only reached 5c

Today was an unusually mild January day in this part of the world at 11c.
I visited some of my Apiaries, as expected, a lot of bees were flying.
It's good to see pollen on this site. Look closely at the photo.
I reckon it's gorse as it's the only thing that's got flowers on it at the moment
