On second thoughts, don’t bother. Entertaining as it has been talking to yourself and your tag team member this afternoon, I am off to do other things.

Perhaps you could explain what in my posts is incorrect…. Am I wrong in saying that WM has the decision about what to place in Scotland? Is pollution ( caused by decisions made in WM or otherwise)a devolved matter? Is that in some way a system inconvenient to WM?

An interesting take. Folk were once quite happy to have lead pipes. Now - not so much. Lots of people are very much unhappy at the nuclear presence in Scotland and that view is reflected in our government.
loobyludicrous.bsky.social
Which, according to what I’ve read, is responsible for the earliest nuclear facilities.

I am ‘on about’ a SYSTEM which currently allows UK gov. to decide on our energy facilities in Scotland and if they prove to be pollutant- leaking radioactive elements, for instance, perhaps from poorly maintained pipes, then that falls to the devolved parliament to deal with.
loobyludicrous.bsky.social
I believe there was considerable concern expressed back in ‘55, but UK gov wanted it there and funded a campaign of meetings with their ‘experts’ to reassure a location desperate for jobs. And thus it went ahead.

Are you talking of my post, which makes no reference to blame, but to a system which allows WM the power to place dangerous, unwanted, polluting items in Scotland whilst removing responsibility for any clean up to Scotland.
loobyludicrous.bsky.social
Let me turn that on its head. Who wanted it? Who placed it there?Who pays for the clean up of dangerous pollutants?

Good system , isn’t it? WM places something unwanted and dangerous in Scotland because the power is reserved to them. Scotland gets to clean up the mess ( if we get told about it), because pollution’s devolved.

Sorry, have I fallen through the Looking Glass? The Orange Order?

He might decide to come up here, but he’ll just ‘do a Boris’ - speak to 10 carefully selected members of the OO, make pronouncements to the press in front of some bridge of choice and then hide in a fridge.

Scottish Labour……does however have autonomy from the UK Labour Party.’
Hmmm. I’m trying hard to think of examples( ie having spoken against WM party policy and then ACTUALLY DONE SOMETHING TO CARRY THAT THROUGH).

My first ever screening appointment was early on the first day of a holiday from work. On the morning, I nearly didn’t go. I’m here today because I got up and went. GO!

‘Please don’t miss out’ – breast screening could save your life
October kickstarts Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a good opportunity to remind women of the importance of attending their breast screening appointment.

Dr Jane Goodall filmed an interview in March 2025 with the understanding it would only be released after her death. This is her final message.

And that’s the tip of the iceberg, of course. The ONLY reason anyone has for leaving us is one that is not good for the rest of us!

Thank you. I missed this. Maybe because of a lack of reporting - might those terms Scottish , Irish and Activist have anything to do with it, do you think? Hoping they are merely ‘mislaid’ rather some more sinister explanation.🤞

Imagine being leader of a political party who believes your party should not be entitled to an opinion. What, then, is the purpose of your party and yourself? It’s certainly not decoration!😂

Opponents of Scottish Indy are going to organise tactical voting for May's GE2026. It is vital - *VITAL* - that we have as big a pro-indy turnout on the day, and that the list vote optimises pro-indy MSPs.

Cause for optimism because ‘we desperately need some hopeful political music to unite us, inspire us, and to defeat the fear and scaremongering of the Anglo-British far right and an increasingly authoritarian Labour party.’

Also, planning for the disposal of hazardous waste - including radioactive - was one of the powers grabbed from Scotland by Westminster via Brexit.
