Politics USA today shows how important it is for elected representatives to stand up and be counted, not to sit on the fence or abstain at vital decision making points. I’m getting a flashback to important Brexit votes and the fence sitting of many Opposition MPs. How about you?

I do believe that Scottish students attending English or Welsh universities are required to pay fees. Is she arguing, therefore, that they should be relieved of that charge, as they would be if they studied at home? Her government could then choose to do that for their own home students. It’s a choice.

Interesting take. BBC and Laura K never questioned whether a man starting up his own lmtd company and pretending it was a political party ( in the wake of his other failed political parties) could become a serious player. 🤷🏻‍♀️

IF ( big IF) you have read his posts, then you have an issue with comprehension.

Was stunned at a distillery visit when I was advised to taste the malt as is, then taste again with water added - 3 drops from the pipette we were given and the flavor just opened up. I was truly cynical before….

With the whole Government Gateway access now, folk should be more aware of their situation and not have the same kind of horrible surprise a few of us have had. Fingers crossed. Retirement planning needs to be clear.

Yes. Ironically when the Contract Out option was mooted early in my career, my workplace offered it and I refused because I had doubts. So the carpet was removed from under me when I discovered it had happened at a later stage, despite that.Had I known, it would have been an easy annual£ top up.

Aha, so it’s arrived in Scotland then… plenty of nuclear leaks here that were not told about. Maybe when they sniff them out they could let those of who live here know what they found. Give us something in return for being where they’re not wanted.

Yes. I read a money article in a newspaper which raised the issue, so pursued it and discovered that I had been contracted out and needed to accept a huge drop in the State Pension I had expected or pay a large sum to fill the £ gap. I had no paperwork anywhere about being contracted out.

I can’t get behind that imagery at all, tbh. Ham Shanks and Timmy Mallet, maybe….

👏👏Well done from Scotland- another small country.

In my central belt constituency, I’ll be doing the same, for the same desired outcome- an Indy majority in HR. And because I genuinely think our Devolution is at risk otherwise. ( a deliberate, managed decline by unionist parties ).

We should worry about an alleged brain drain for an unnecessary technology, but not care a jot about the fact that we are,and have been, kept in the dark about nuclear leaks in our own country? We neither need nor want nuclear. Our ‘brains’ need to focus further on recyclables and storage.

Not sure we even get to be England, tbh. There’s the South, Midlands, The North…. And then, like GOT, Scotland exists Beyond The Wall.
