The second level to that is to say, "Elites are wanting to forcibly transition your kids!" which then allows elites to go out there and say, "Actually we aren't, and we oppose such things" making them 'seem' "good" while making sure they never face any real challenges to their status/power/money.

So to wrap it together, what I am saying is that your 'Alex Jones' types were telling enough truth to get people fired up and angry about a very real thing, then redirect all that energy into only a specific subset of that group doing such evil to protect the system it self that let them do it.

The 'Alex Jones' of the world were never wrong about society being led by 'elite cabals of pedos', but the whole point of the 'Alex Jones' type was to give people just enough truth to latch onto, then redirect them towards it being strictly a thing that "The Left" was doing only.

Plus the whole 'dictator rises to power' only really tends to work with popular support, which Trump is losing in spades. It'd be a dictatorship built on quicksand if the GOP try and go full fascist. People are not happy with them already, and they're actively making shit worse as we speak.

Oh you're not wrong either about those points, but the GOP is trying to fast-track the post-9/11 war hysteria without any of the foundation the Bush admin did at the time while ignoring the fact people have had 20 years to realize how full of shit the GOP is about that.

He could try and claim that but the country doesn't have a lawful method to do so, and more importantly we've never skipped elections in the past even during times of war (Lincoln made sure the 1864 elections still happened despite the very real claim he could've made to not allow them).

If he does, that's a waiving of 5th amendment protections, which means that anyone who takes a pardon from him *has* to lawfully speak in any court setting or to Congress.

Tbh i think this kinda thing is why the GOP always did endless Congressional investigations in the past. They know they either: A. Have no real case. or B. It'd be thrown out for malicious prosecution.
