Not really that hot or trash of a take in my opinion.
G4s got a lot going for it in every category, but Misty's arc is so good that it makes G5 worth watching beyond the movie. The dialogue leaves much to be desired, but the heart put into performing it definitely salvaged it for me.

It is a genuine treat. Such a good and really important movie right now. Distraction, enstrangement, heartbreak, all can be faced alone and destroy you, but with loved ones by your side, anything is possible.

It can be pretty demoralizing to be working on carefully crafted stories with themes and characters, only to see another, barely edited "useless guy goes to Equestria as themselves, an anime protag, or a pony and just have every girl throw themselves at him" story go instantly to the top.

This one is particularly insidious. So many lonely anons out there feeding that incel self-insert isekai ship of the day. They can eat whatever junk food you want, but I wonder of they even realize that's all they eat.
