I'm into bikes, horror, concerts, and history, not necessarily in that order consistently

It appears there's another chance to see the aurora borealis over Colorado tonight, but tonight's chance is more conditional for two reasons:

1) Cloud cover may mess it up. Less cloud cover east of Denver.

2) The timing of the next CME. Best chance appears closer to sunset tonight (5-8p).

Mission Ballroom has a box office that is open Mon-Sat 10-6 and Sunday an hour before a concert that you can buy tickets at pretty close to face value! I snagged some tickets to a show later in the fall for only $2 over face value (vs. $17 with Axs). Its also off the Brighton Blvd bikeway! #bikeden

If you know a City County of Denver employee right now, check in on them. Love from a fellow public sector employee

On a related note to my last post: does anyone have any suburban horror theyd recommend? Not just movies in the suburbs aka most slashers, but movies where the suburbs are the driver of the horror? I can think of is Vivarium, which I struggled to get thru, or Get Out, which i love. #horror #movies

Being in the room and speaking to eliminate parking minimums was something else.
Congrats to Denver City council for repealing parking minimums! #copolitics

2:32p: Looks like a gusty downpour and some rumbles of thunder near Broomfield and near Castle Rock…gonna be like this for the next few hours.

Brief downpour, gusty winds, and lightning the main threats this afternoon.

It always sucks when a recipe calls for 4 cloves of garlic but you only have 7 cloves and not the required 10 cloves #italianmath

Watched The Bay(2012) for the first time. Pretty decent found footage horror for about 80% of the movie. The thirds act kind of suffers from the issues most FF suffers where it kinda goes off the rails. Would give it a 7.5/10

Watched the newest I Know What You Did Last Summer in a pre screener last night. Short of it is it is a love letter to the first 2 movies that likely wont resonate a ton outside of the fandom but is a good time.

This is a beautifully inspiring video from Fems and Thems about the challenges, empowerment, connections and joys of biking as a female or non-binary rider. While my included videos illustrate the challenges, the overwhelming benefits are what keep me riding.

Unfriended: Dark Web punches way above what a sequel to a horror movie shot on Skype about a deceased facebook friend should do. My suspension of disbelief did come into play when the protagonist was balancing his laptop while riding a bicycle, but otherwise its a passavle movie. 5/10

Euro fairly consistent with a snowy Saturday around Denver, with 2-5" looking likely. Most of that snow probably falls during the first half of the day.

Northern mountains likely to get a solid 6-16"+ storm this weekend, most of which probably falls on Saturday.
