I just saw it as subverting expectations which I especially enjoy with Lucifer. For years I saw his "intimidating" portrait art but revealing him as a duck obsessed cinnamonroll is fabulous. Lucifer's personality makes sense to me, I'm more curious about how Hazbin and HB line up.

Jeremy definitely feels like he’s channeling some Yankovic at points in the show proper — a little Jack Black here and there too :p

No offense to Weird AI, but I feel Jeremy Jordan was a better choice. He show he can voice tragic characters and also goofy stuff, like he did in Tangled. So he probably was the best choice for our short king.

My original head canon voice for him when I crafted his character was WEIRD AL 😂 sorry I just keep realizing more things about it lol

I think once the full story is out it'll make more sense. But yeah, it just kinda makes me chuckle when people seem to think Lucifer in the pilot was some devious evil being, he was just meant to be mysterious. But he was always tiny and goofy lol

Therefore the shot of him with the overlords was kind of the proto-type of his position with the Seven Deadly Sins. Besides that, he's meant to be mysterious until we learn more about his personality and issues as the story goes. Which now in series we are starting to see!

From one hand, I feel fans hace their right to criticize it, but I feel is also right you defend what happened, especially since is not a real big deal. I'm genuine neutral, because Charlie already showed various times she loves her dad and Lucifer wasn't didn't had serious wounds.
