This is the Italy I like
bdsmovement.bsky.social
Italy was on strike in solidarity with Palestinians last Monday.
Hundreds of thousands demonstrated blocking roads, ports & railway stations. In Rome, many drivers found themselves stuck in traffic — & were happy about it, saluting demonstrators & condemning Israel’s genocide against Palestinians.

I understand the frustration of people who’ve been waiting for their Itch payouts since a few weeks now but if immediate payment is a necessity then do the work and set up direct payments maybe? Or go to Steam and wait a month?
lorenzopilia.bsky.social
For context: Steam pays out by the 30th of the month following sales. That means between 30 and 60 days from the moment your game was purchased by someone to that money reaching your bank account. Itch offers an option where you immediately get the money.

Designers are waiting weeks, and in some cases months, for payouts from itch as sympathy for the indie game platform's mounting problems wears thin.
Game designers are experiencing persistent payout issues from itch.io
The indie platform’s payout delays are a symptom of a bigger issue.

Experimental post: The Inevitable March of Time
From the moment of this post, Super Mario Bros. is now closer to World War II than it is to the present day.

Was just looking at the Dal Negro website and it seems like they put some ugly branding inside the ace of coins now? Also note the back of the card representing Venice even though this are Trevisane (from Treviso) — that was always confusing! shop.dalnegro.com/prodotto/tre...

I love the colour palette… here’s another wild card from the same set
lorenzopilia.bsky.social
Wow had no clue! Always wondered why they left so much empty space on that ace (that’s the “denari” one)

Grew up in bars surrounded by Trevisane so they will always be my favourites
The 4 aces of Trevisane set of playing cards produced by Dal Negro

Yes I skipped the election part because that would be too confusing for people who are not already familiar with the story…

The marathon is the only event that causes problems to so many people. Demonstrations, world cup viewings etc. only affect a smaller area and for a reduced amount of time. Give me a good reason why this is ok!

(rant over, see you next year)

As an able-bodied person canceled buses and trams are not a big deal, in most cases I can just walk to the next U-Bahn or S-Bahn stations. But for people with limited mobility or pushing prams it basically means their Sunday plans are canceled. And let's not talk about emergency vehicles...

The Berlin marathon is taking place today. I honestly don't understand why we allow public transport to be interrupted every year for this event, affecting a huge part of the city's population.

Don’t know which emo era you’re referring to but Braid, Get Up Kids, Promise Ring (just to name some late 90s greats) all had incredible drummers… m.youtube.com/watch?v=Jh4-...
