I also thought there was a second perp because a man dressed in all black wearing two backpacks was power walking behind me as I approached the van and took off running when I screamed, but he turned out to be some German guy who worked for google and exercised weirdly. Got partial plates though!

This and not using the same descriptive word multiple times in a short span are the two most common edits I recommend to my authors. Variety is so much more important than we think!!
