My dogs have developed a new con. Rule is that they get a treat for coming in promptly after they’ve been out in the yard. Fair enough: I’m not standing at the door haplessly shouting. Now they only go out one at a time and both expect a treat. I can’t even be mad….

Yesterday I helped work a seed exchange event. It was everything that makes Humboldt County great - sharing information, best use of resources, peaceful community, sustainable living…with a sprinkling of useful postcards. My garden will be awesome this year because other people cared.
