In high school and college, I REFUSED to even use SparkNotes or online study guides because it defeats the purpose of reading and analysis. I don't understand how we convinced so many people to be proudly helpless like this.

Hard to imagine a country I wouldn't live in if given the chance. The poverty, cruelty, so tied together... maybe it's because I'm in it. Maybe I'm exaggerating, but it feels uniquely fucked up here. Friends elsewhere w/ similar lack of prospects have a measure of basic care I can't even dream of.
