Fanfiction etiquette is incredibly simple, actually. Don't like it, don't read it. No one is forcing you to, which is why it looks ridiculous to complain about it, especially if you were content warned. AO3 tags + "exclude" is one of the greatest reading tools ever. Use them properly and voila!

i prefer a world where fanfiction is allowed to be controversial and even bad than a world where we try to get rid of anything even remotely problematic.

I'm proship\profic friendly. I don't tolerate harassing people over fiction. If it makes you uncomfortable and you don't harass people - that's fine!

However if you equate proship = predator\criminal\etc. please see yourself out.
