As a palliative care specialist, Trevor’s interview has devastated me.

Profits before people; privilege and greed gets carte blanche.
A meticulous account of the VIP lane. Journalists and experts expose wrongdoing as politicians line their pockets and those of private firms. Taxpayer cash wasted, no accountability.

Tom Tugendhat (MP) rightly pointing out that #AssistedDying is about power.

This power imbalance already exists with the state having power over many people in society, namely disabled people and those from ethnic minoritised communities.

I’ve been making my way through the Welfare Reform Bill and this paragraph on the gov.uk website is genuinely disgusting.

Receiving a decent disability benefits rate “encourages sickness”, does it? Funny, I thought it just enabled severely ill and disabled people to eat.

Pure, nonsensical cruelty from the DWP. For 6 years, without telling her, they let this mother unknowingly earn 83p-£1.92p per week too much as a dinner lady while juggling caring for her son with severe autism. Then they slammed her with a bill for £10k. Vile. www.theguardian.com/society/2025...

The UK’s care crisis means many disabled people already live on the edge.

Now, £4.5bn in cuts risks pushing them toward an “option” we should never normalise: death over destitution.
