This is a lovely idea. If you’re not familiar with @wombat37.bsky.social, you’ve missed out. He’s been an uplifting presence on here, and has dealt with his approaching death with extraordinary openness, honesty, bravery and humour. One of the very best on here.

My oncologist told me on Friday that they had done all they can, the cancer is still growing, and that I have months, maybe weeks, left to live. My husband and I went on the Rockie Mountaineer from Vancouver to Banff we were in the Gold Star carriages which were very expensive but the roof is glass and you get amazing views. There was another couple in the same carriage who slept thru the whole journey.

Everyone can do as they please, obviously, but the guy next to me at the test match arrived an hour late, got so pissed he couldn’t sit on his seat, then left an hour and a half early, which, given the ticket prices, seems odd.
