What if I replace the little membrane switch on my shop LED ring light desk lamp task lighting thing with a box with proper buttons in a little box. What about arcade buttons in a big box
The worn membrane and microswitch plastic inline control for my LED task lighting. A wider angle of the bench showing the lighting; it’s a color temperature and intensity adjustable LED ring light on an articulated lamp base, with a rotating camera adapter I’ve screwed a MagSafe puck into.

Having knuckle tattoos makes taking pointless pictures of your hand more fun. Everything is slightly threatening when your knuckles say “RIOT” on one hand.

The oil isn’t cured but enough to handle, and this is what it looks like together with some linseed.

Fit the drawers a bit better and added the first coat of linseed oil. I might shellac the mahogany, I dunno. Maybe just finishing wax.

I need to scrape and re-oil some of the drawer fronts where they’re a bit blotchy but yeah, I’m liking this

Still need to trim the moulding and finish, and I may reglue one piece, but yeah, it’s all a thing now. Finish tomorrow most likely.

Hide glue is fun and advantageous when you’re doing a rub joint with tiny parts and tacking it in with brads. It’s less fun when you’re scrambling to pound together some tight hardwood dovetails. That said, runners are on and case is glued. A bit of cleanup and molding will go on, and then finish!
A tall, thin cabinet of mahogany with poplar secondary wood. The drawers are removed showing six sets of drawer runners glued and nailed A slightly angled view of the same. The sides are about a 1/2” thick and have a reeding pattern on them. Mocking up the case with the uncut molding in place and a couple of drawers slid on their runners. The drawers are about 3” high and 5” wide and has an applied cockbeading there are tiny antiqued brass knobs.

I’m a schlub today and my oil rags still aren’t dried enough to throw away.
A greasy haired Jessica with her foot on the scrap metal bucket, surrounded by the detritus of the work room. A finishing line I behind her, with kerfing plane parts hanging letting their finish cure, and several rags with linseed oil on them drying enough they aren’t a danger of combusting. They’re probably fine to throw away but why risk it.
