I agree. But i'd still like to make the point that Balatro deserve to be praised for how well crafted it is, while Black Myth Wukong is a mess of horrendous level design, questionable gear system and fairly incoherent encounters : Despite all of that it's a relatively good game, but not GOTY tiers

People keep trying to defend Balatro’s legitimacy in being nominated for The Game Awards, but that misses the larger point that The Game Awards are deeply embarrassing and you don’t need to care about that.
