American expat living in Japan for 30+ years. My family had to flee Spain when the fascists took over, looks like I got a head start on things this time.
I feel the same about people who saw Hillary as "just as bad" as Trump—or worse—and despite being warned about Trump, didn't vote for Hillary because their "conscience" wouldn't allow them to. Added points for those who refused to accept responsibility for their decision after the fact.

Just an interesting side note: Jesus's teachings were contrary to dominance. Turn the other cheek, forgive, love thy neighbor, refrain from judging and punishing. His message was to reject dominance.

This explains why so many Christian Nationalists are rejecting his teachings.

The sad fact is that too many of the MAGA crowd love fascism, so long as the fascist hurts the people they hate.

What makes you think that the Democrats are not screaming bloody murder all over the media? It’s not the Democrats, it’s the media. They are not covering the Democrats, because they’re too busy covering Trump, and otherwise being terrified of him.

It's blatantly obvious that Trump told Bukele to refuse to return Garcia, and if Trump simply asked for Garcia's return, Bukele would do it. Nobody's fooling anybody.

Making people fear "it could be me, and no one will be able to protect me" is the entire point.

The basic rule is that semicolons can be used to join two independent clauses without a conjunction if the relationship between the two clauses are either contrast or support.

Just sayin’.

The republican cries of evil “censorship” were when deadly misinformation was taken down for public safety. But now, fact and truth are being taken down in the name of political favoritism.

This demonstrates that republicans' idea of "free speech" is pushing their propaganda and censoring dissent.
