Nothing to see here—just the President of the United States suggesting that Americans who vandalized the cars of the company owned by his biggest political donor should be sent to a notorious prison in another country.

This is insane.

Remember that this is where his discussions with El Salvador began. The migrant detentions there are the dry run. He wants to ship U.S. prisoners to El Salvador. We cannot sleepwalk through this.

Shuttering the Department of Education is a radical plan, ripped from the pages of Project 2025, that will close the doors of opportunity for America's students.

We stand with our affiliated unions as they challenge this illegal order in court.

The president is trying to illegally fire me. Who does this help? Does it help you? Or does it help the billionaires over the president’s shoulder at the inauguration?

Well this certainly explains a lot.
It has been a shocking week for American universities - not least my own. The question of why campuses are being targeted by Trump, for research, for protests for ‘failure to address antisemitism ‘, the roots are all here in 2021 JD Vance speech ‘Universities are the enemy’ youtu.be/0FR65Cifnhw

Let’s be clear: the Dept. of Ed. provides resources to 26 million children living in high-poverty school districts; Pell Grants to over 7 million students; & funding for millions of children with disabilities.

Closing its doors would be a disaster for working class families.

Honestly this is the end of the great American experiment

Once the first amendment falls the rest are not far behind

Holy crap

Mahmoud Khalil’s Detention Is a Trial Run
The pro-Palestine student was arrested without due process for exercising his right to free speech. He will not be the last.

The way it works is that you strip fundamental rights from targets with less political support that people will turn their consciences off to justify persecuting and then eventually the state can do it to anyone, that’s always been the plan bsky.app/profile/pbum...
Setting aside the incredibly dangerous and fascist aspect of this, is there actual evidence that Khalil was a “Hamas supporter”? Or is the standard for a green-card holder being sent to a secret location and possibly deported just “critical of Israel”?
