Dad. Communications consultant/science writer guy. America's leading lawn gnome critic. Likes: bikes, science, camping, travel, frugality. Dislikes: lawn gnomes without eyes, quick declines into fascism.

Apparently, the point is needless cruelty. Great job, America.

I will weep when I watch the scene between Mr. Gower and young George where a grieving Gower realizes his mistake and is horrified about what he's done.

Both actors are amazing in that scene.

It would be:

- light
- protect the sides of the head better (where most impacts occur)
- look cool as you make speeder bike noises while you ride through the woods.

I meant "entire Administration" but I a word. Fortunately, you were clever enough to see through my gibberish.

The entire is chock full of dangerously incompetent or unsuitable people, but the low hanging fruit is the guy who advocated murder than followed through with it.

I was always curious about which PR firm Dean Kamen used to manage this announcement

I'm not a theologian, but what makes them think that Jesus would come back the way he arrived the first time?

"Why"

I think we all know why at this point.

"might"

They will if they can.

The CDC has been turned inside out by people who have bought into a narrative, and we should just assume it is untrustworthy until the entire HHS can be rebuilt.

Sharing the intelligence may help, but there is little reason to see this as anything other than an extrajudicial killing. You can use the military to enforce maritime law, not murder.

If we struck survivors, that is just murder. That's not even a controversial opinion. It just is.

We have no proof they were drug runners. Hell, Rand Paul recently posted a letter he received from the Coast Guard saying that about 21% of interdicted boats have no drugs on them whatsoever.

We were better off when the web was merely an archipelago of little weird pet projects, I think.

Our Sec of Warcrimes recently called out Scouting America (former BSA) for depriving boys of safe spaces by including girls. What utter fragile hogwash.

We have been running our troop as mixed-gender for 6 years now. It is amazingly heartening to see them work, support, AND compete w/ each other.

First, congrats on getting any 4-6 yo's to resemble a functioning team remotely. My U8 team was mixed, and while we had some (technically) great boy players, we had two girls (one in goal) who showed leadership on the field. The boys eventually learned to play up to the girls' standards.

It is fascinating how many assume this girl was struck by an e-bike & not driving it. Also interesting that the NYT post calls it an "e-bike" but the article is about "e-motos." Moreover, e-motos (all throttle, vestigial pedals) are already illegal on most roads.

So, cars kill. These are bad too.

Not to mention that Montreal did this AND built an extensive network of bike paths. (And they let you ride your bike on the F1 track, which is awesome.)

If I could convince my wife to emigrate (and if Canada wanted us)...

And you need to wonder how many families left town after the enormous DOE facility closed.
