Hey kids, dinner is on the table!
Hell, I was hospitalized from chicken pox for a month when I was five. I developed osteomyelitis--apparently a side effect of this "harmless" disease--and couldn't walk for weeks.

Now we have vaccines for all these things, and people are happy to throw them all away out of fear and ignorance.
And yet, I spoke to some Fox viewers yesterday who are absolutely convinced it was all "illegal immigrants."

The same playbook they tried with the Texas outbreak, which began in the Mennonite community.
This is not normal.

Fun fact, I met Barry Blumberg, the discoverer of (and creator of the first vaccine for) Hep B when he was a ret. prof. at Fox Chase. His work is on track to save 14 million lives by 2030 & he never profited from the patent.

He was a selfless & fascinating man
complete batshit insanity
I carved my first turning!
Of course. We've gone from $200M to $350M in the course of a week.

That's what happens when you rush construction. The question is why the rush?

Then again, he likes to lie about numbers to sound impressive.
(Sent from his iPhone…dammit!)
I could, with some difficulty, boycott all of these companies.

And, of course, never speak to Pepe and Emilia again.
Here’s the full list, provided by a White House official:

Altria Group, Inc.
Amazon
Apple
Booz Allen Hamilton
Caterpillar, Inc.
Coinbase
Comcast Corporation
Pepe and Emilia Fanjul
Hard Rock International

All The Donors Financing Trump’s Ballroom As He Demolishes The White House
Trump may have destroyed American history by razing the East Wing, but at least these corporations and rich people get to buy access to the president.

Disturbingly close to reality.
The problem with "Trump Impeachment 3: Third Time's The Charm" will be deciding WHICH high crimes and misdemeanors to prosecute.

I'm not a legal expert, so I suspect by the plural nature of those words you can choose multiple crimes. Do so thoroughly, please.
Is that unfair? Is that a strawman?

Perhaps. But notice that D'Souza here doesn't name which charities or which Dems are funding them.

In fact, HUD and the VA does provide grants that go to nonprofits. It seems something that Trump favors considering he included $10B homeless assistance funds.
The new talking point is that poverty, homelessness, and addiction exist because Democrats want to funnel money to lefty charities that continue the problem.

These are the same people who refuse to fund mental (or any) health programs because they think it is better left to private charity.
Wait?

Is this the same guy who denied any specific knowledge of Project 2025, yet hired its chief architect to help enact it in his administration?

That guy?

I'm beginning to suspect that he is not entirely truthful. Does this mean drug prices won't go down 1,500%?
So just to be clear, if you lie enough, you can try to overthrow the government, get immunity from the consequences of your actions, profit from organizations that tried to punish you for your lies, pardon all of your conspirators, and reshape the people's house into a gaudy club for rich folks.
These people are weird. This is not normal behavior.
We're governed by children.

"But in place of former President Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s portrait is a photo of an autopen signing his name, a reference to the claims Mr. Trump has made without giving evidence that Mr. Biden’s cognitive state impaired him from signing documents and granting pardons."

Good morning, #Bluesky.

What fresh hell awaits us?
In old monster movies, the hero would be the scientist who makes an alarming discovery. The villains would be the close-minded fools who ignore the warnings out of fear, greed, or ignorance.

Today, a not insubstantial minority of us would side with the villains, even as the monster overtakes them
"a kind of celebration of ignorance"
Just a reminder that this is not the work of normal, well-adjusted people.

We need a shift back toward civility, one that doesn't include press secretaries who think this is professional behavior, an administration that governs on trolling, and a 4th estate that lets this happen without comment.
🤔 Interaction between HuffPost and Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt
The 2017 and 2024 solar eclipse trips are now the stuff of family legend. I think we peaked in car camping road trips with kids in 2017, fitting in camping at a Kentucky horse farm, visiting Mammoth Caves, totality with a bunch of physicists outside of Carbondale, and Kennywood on the way home.

Hi, I'm the ProPublica reporter who's been tracking an unusual stat: U.S. citizens grabbed by immigration agents.

I did it because the government isn’t.

This is what I found.
Saturday morning noms
They were early out-of-the-gates on the brewpub fad, but they were rarely better than meh. Other than growth, they never capitalized on their lead. Instead, they never improved their beers and chose subpar, cheap ingredients for their food.

Iron Hill should not be missed.
