Thankful I’ve been able to find a happy medium between working with sports and not doing the SID thing full-time, particularly in this portal/NIL chaos era. I just like that I can appreciate the simple pleasures of the job, like catching a Yahtzee on the Notre Dame baseball scoreboard last night.

I regularly take a moment to savor that “calm before the storm” window before gates open.
One of the best parts of working in sports — and I never take this for granted — is having access to sit in a quiet stadium and watch it slowly fill up.
