That is an amazing low price!

The inability to get from the periodically operating funicular to the west is frustrating. Riding north up the sidewalk to cross west and return technically illegal, but riding the street randomly dangerous.

Great to see so many #yegbike users out on the paths on this last great day of atypical fall weather!

Wait until winter when the driver use of the sidewalks will become very evident in area without boulevards. They park on sidewalks all the time in winter - and in summer too.

Great episode if you’re in Alberta and wondering what the heck is going on, or elsewhere and confused about Alberta political news.

Depends what you’re into! Keep tabs on the YEG Edmonton feed and find out!

Sure, people would park in them, but police or ambulance pulling up are in a much better situation to make enforcement happen than ordinary citizens. Thanks police for doing your jobs, AND parking in such a way that I wasn’t squeezed out.

Buildings was full. I suspect the parking lots behind each building NOT full but I didn’t check. They were responding to a call inside an apartment bldg, I’ll give them grace on a good try. But why are there not 2-4 temp spots along the street for 10min delivery, emergency services, etc?

Yegbike Coming home from downtown on new 113 st bike lane at 106-107 ave, YEG police parked in the lane. Frustrating, but they did a good job of parking where there was no curb so easy to get around. Don’t blame them, since the street parking in front of the apartments on this block with 9 low-rise

40+ years ago I thought about becoming a science teacher but I don't have the patience for it. Teachers and nurses (and home care snd LTC workers) are amongst the most patient people in our society. For it to come to this means it is WAY past the point most of us would have snapped. #YEG #YYC

You have to paddle hard for the Canadian version of white water!

Let me rephrase for Scott Moe. “There is no Alberta oil sands, there is Canada’s oil sands. There is no Saskatchewan potash, there is only Canadian potash.” So I guess Ottawa does get to regulate everything then if all land and facilities are federal, NOT provincial?

'There is no B.C. coast. It's Canada's coast': Sask. premier supports Alta. pipeline proposal | CBC News
Sask. Premier Scott Moe repeated his support for the proposed pipeline between Alberta and the northern B.C. coast earlier this week by Alberta Premier Danielle Smith.

If Danielle Smith had common sense, she would green light 1 GW+ of renewable projects and a huge-a$$ intertie to BC to optimize AB-BC power supply and cost BEFORE trying to jam a pipeline down their throats. New wind and solar in AB is likely more cost effective than BC and turns dams to batteries.

“Special obligation”. Hah. That’ll go over well, way to read the room.

From my spouse. I guess the tree that was hit by a YEG vehicle causing big traffic delays should have been in high vis…

Sounds like the new YEG police chief is anti-sprawl and pro-infill from a resource utilization point of view. At least someone recognizes the cost of sprawl. We need more citizens to recognize this too.

It has a bad reputation, but those linger. I would recommend never leave a bike locked up on the street for any length of time, though. I lock mine securely inside my garage because garage break-ins are common theft points.

Quite close to my place in Prince Rupert, congratulations! CM has seen a lot of renewal in the last 15 yrs.

Shocked, I am, shocked I tell you. I was so sure we could trust the gas companies telling us hydrogen was safe and cheap over my own personal experience with making, transporting, and using hydrogen.

Yeah, didn’t like cycling with lumber between my thighs. (Literally, not figuratively), but thanks!
