Opinion | Trump’s War on D.E.I. Is Really a War on Civil Rights
The genius of the right-wing crusade against D.E.I. is that the term is amorphous enough that it can mean many different things to many different people.

The world’s richest person, without any actual authority, is infiltrating entire govt agencies and gaining access to sensitive info.

And it's being done in an effort to slash federal spending in the name of "efficiency" so America’s wealthy can get another huge tax cut.

Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent.

Opportunities are everywhere.

Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

When the Nazis first came to power, within a few months, they raided the Institute for Sexuality which did the first studies of trans people.

The books they seized were burned here, including a copy of Heinrich Heines poem that said, "where they burn books, they will ultimately burn people too."

I know everyone is talking about what RFK said yesterday about mifepristone, but he also dropped a clue about the possibility of a national abortion ban.

The hint comes in this clip, when Kennedy says that Trump "wants to end late term abortions.”

It’s a great country where the president can take time out of his day to acknowledge a tragic plane crash—then, in under two minutes, pivot to blaming DEI and the gays. Truly, a masterclass in leadership.

It isn't hyperbole for trans and non-binary people to be scared right now. The same groups pushing the anti-trans agenda which has now been mainstreamed by Presidential mandate in the US are pushing it elsewhere. Don't dismiss people's fears, stand in solidarity.

New rule: If someone complains about the economy or politicians, ask who they voted for. If the answer is Trump, just say, ‘You’re getting what you voted for.’ Accountability matters. Choices have consequences.

Remember: Almost all of us are the descendants of immigrants who fled persecution, or were brought to America under duress, or sought better lives for themselves and their descendants.

Politicians who stoke fear and hatred over immigration want you to forget this.

Do not.
