Every time I forget a word or phrase my brain makes one up on the fly - can't remember "mausoleum"? Try "Dead People House". Forget the word "seagull"? Try "Violence Pigeon".

If Pratchett, Tolkein and Le Guin can write disabled people into their worlds naturally, then it sounds like a total lack of skill/empathy/brains on those folks part to me.

Does my nut in - one of the projects I'm part of put effort into not using over-powered creatures to erase disabilities and to give people support instead. It's not like it's difficult to just include groups of people who have always existed and would still exist in your precious fantasy trash.
