Keep blasting these out. The message is sticking with Republicans: losing USAID will harm farmers, businesses, and universities in their states.

The #USAID website has just gone dark, amidst reporting #Trump may try to dissolve it completely.
But #Congress established USAID in statute, and Trump can't unilaterally override a statute by executive order.

First, this is illegal. USAID was created by the Congress...by a law. This is an illegal power grab. Secondly, we don't give aid out of the goodness of our hearts. We do it to advance our interests. It reduces our influence globally to eliminate it &. opens the door to our rivals.
USAID was created by an Act of Congress in 1961; it cannot legitimately be dissolved by presidential edict. Ofc how long this period of misrule will last is anyone’s guess.
