I'm focusing more on my art and printmaking bits on this account so my screen name and photos have changed, but it's still same old Bluesky me!

Same to you, I've been thinking of you.

New research involving @drmbothapsych.bsky.social in our @durhampsych.bsky.social finds that identity distress (where someone has difficulty forming a cohesive sense of identity) is at the heart of higher rates of poor mental health experienced by autistic people. Find out more 👉 bit.ly/3KMtz88

I know it doesn't work like this but if sheer stubborn bloody minded willpower worked, I'd be really well.

Very Labour of her. And her ghost knocks things over in the Carter and Miller steakhouse that used to be the Three Nuns pub. Rude.

No shame in a sanga tea, mouths are fed, stomachs are full. You've been so busy.

And he is/is not buried in Mirfield. Schrodingers Robin Hood.

Probably is thd triage system. Sometimes if I call 111 and go through their symptoms checking with a nurse and say I don't feel it is an A&E thing, they will send a note to my GP say GP is most appropriate clinician but that does involve waiting hours for a call back.

Fabworks ship internationally, offer a sample service and deal mostly with dead stock/end of line fabrics, their staff are lovely and while I won't be adding to my fabric stash, I do like to live vicariously!

It's Fabworks UK 10th birthday and a bunch of fabric is going online on Friday 31st October at 4pm but you can get a sneak preview access to if you sign up their mailing list #sewing

It sucks so much, I hate that you have to endure A&E for a minor issue. I kept getting sent to the walk in clinic at A&E and the staff are like 'couldn't get a GP appt, huh?' Not even for a breast lump check or when Mr had kidney stones.

I literally had just bought one for 7 quid in the sale and unwrapped it, put it aside for next time I went out and then forgot it 🤣🤦‍♀️the fancy masks are pretty.

• Thought I'd lost my new Cambridge pro mask, found it in a bag, put it safe in my rucksack.
• well enough stand long enough to do a bit of washing up.
• feeling much less mental today.

Everyone can do a lot worse than living in Ponte Carlo, nowt up with Ponte.
danceyfrancy.bsky.social
Castleford is rough but Ponte really isn't. If you look at Darrington it's a beautiful and surrounded by fields. There is wear and tear in the town but that's classic of any ex colliery area that's been underfunded for 40 years, plus it has great transport links to Leeds.

Burger King Nightmare King (2018-2018): A 1/4 pound beef patty, crispy chicken fillet, American cheese, bacon, onions and mayo, served on a dyed-green bun. Released special for Halloween, BK claimed that it was developed with a sleep institute, designed to induce nightmares if eaten before bed
A black background, and a black plastic tray on which rests a sandwich with fried chicken, a beef patty, bacon, onions, and cheese, on a dark green sesame bun. A creepy, bony, black-grey hand with long nails reaches into frame to grab it. The copy read "Nightmare King--Feed Your nightmares"

one of my most durable political lessons out of Occupy is: not only is it a bad look to instruct people at protests you are not part what to do based on posts online, it’s bad tactics to order around people with local experience and who are doing countless things you won’t know about from posts

Same, we can only keep fighting back and sticking together.

Tbf, I think there was solidarity and campaigning to resist the Cass report from the ND, mad and disabled communities, I could see how our rights are intertwined. Wider cis society definitely didn't step up but a lot of us did see this coming.

Excellent accidental theft! For me, world mental health day has become a sort of tokenistic day where everyone who could improve the lives of mad people - but hasn't done anything - absolves themselves. RU OK day sounds very similar.

Friday = World Mental Health Day klaxon! You've got time to mute the hashtags if you can't stand the annual platitudery and late stage capitalist wellbeing bollocks.
The meme of Bill Murray in Groundhog day, reporting camera. Text reads Well, it's World Mental Health Day.... again.

I got lucky, he used to work in the hospital doing all the sedated surgical procedures so the fact I'll lie back awake is a head start for is both. My teeth at rubbish too for the same reason, solidarity.
