And, more teachers will leave the profession if they're left trying to do the impossible and educate children who need more support than one person at the front of the class.

Manufacturing is a secondary industry. Primary industries create/take raw materials e.g. farming, forestry, mining.

there's a big difference between comfortable and rich. I wouldn't put £80-£100k as rich, but comfortable. It also depends on your circumstances - how many dependents do you have, what's the cost of living where you live, what assets do you have. Income is only one part of the picture.
