It's hard not to compare it to cake mix. Early versions of cake mix didn't require you to add anything, but that left housewives feeling like they'd cheated. Like they may as well have just gotten a store bought cake. So they changed it to require a fresh egg. Cracking and mixing in that fresh egg makes you feel like you're really baking a cake. It let's you take pride in it. There are cake mixes everywhere for those with the eyes to see. Like why don't gunpla come pre assembled? So that you feel like you've made something instead of having just bought something. Why aren't boys raised as girls right from the start? Because cracking the egg gives you a sense of ownership."
