Imagine you're tone deaf enough to want this but witless enough to not realise that this business will get bought and integrated into a bigger company and that would be seen as a success. Bye bye grandma

I'm guessing this bookseller isn't a fantasy or sci-fi guy but knows it'll sell. There's like 100 Isaac Asimov books and it's mostly Gollancz masterworks series. Can't go wrong I guess but where's my Robin Hobb!

Never heard of this series but this looked so bonkers I had to get it. The opening sentence is "Of all the various unpleasant ways to be aroused from a sound sleep, one of the worst is the noise of a dragon and a unicorn playing tag." wtf 👍

Found this old gem from my childhood. Hopefully one of the kids will enjoy it. And completed my set of the Feist & Wurts trilogy in the same editions. Even found a Megan Lindholm book. Never seen one in the wild

Re Kerr, I read that series like 30 years ago and I completely forgot about it until I found it in a second hand bookshop. Now that I have it on my shelf I think about it often. Parts of it have really stuck with me, I remembered them but forgot what books they were from. So I'm curious to re-read

I've got a mountain of Hobb and Wurts to read. I should someday get to the latest stormlight archives just so I can write a grumpy review of it. I have the Wurts & Feist series to read. And I want to re-read Katherine Kerr's Deverry books, and resume Tad Williams' latest series 😫 and others

I'm remembering now how much I enjoyed Orjinn Sammar's sorry I'm Kellanved's Reach. Must re-read them all! Can't wait for his next one, which I understand is delayed until next year and I assume is covering Aren etc

These books were huge for me in my teens. It felt like the first mature fantasy after reading a lot of great but simpler stuff, eg Weddings, Feist. Feels like TW doesn't get the acclaim he deserves. The series seemed to arrive at a time of transition for the genre into modern fantasy
