(1/2) With a heavy heart, I have written to the Prime Minister to tender my resignation as a whip.

Whilst I will continue to support the government in delivering the change the country so desperately needs, I cannot vote in favour of the proposed reforms to disability benefits.

The letter will be part of a wider campaign launched by disabled celebrities that aims to bring attention to the government’s proposed cuts. Using the hashtag, #TakingThePIP asks disabled people to share their experiences, contact their MPs, and “take a stand” on social media.

If the point of #BenefitCuts is to "support disabled people into #work", why is #AccessToWork, the one DWP scheme that does get disabled people into work, by helping employers meet the cost of reasonable adjustments, also being cut?

Partner went on management training about #leadership in #recruitment. Did they cover the legal definition of #discrimination? No.

Did they cover #reasonableadjustments for #disability? No.

They suggested keeping in touch w candidates by asking about their favourite biscuit.
