Oh man yah. I owe a lot to my progress as an artist to OCTs. It’s such a great way to learn time management with something that has some but not dire stakes. And I’ve met so many of my friends through them.

YAH I've seen stuff from recent OCTs with like ... 20-30 MINUTE animatics. Fucking wild. I miss having that kinda time and energy. But also. It aint healthy

Oh I just mean what I've noticed has become the norm. Namely and insane amount of pages/ animatic lengths for a month(ish) of a deadline. Absolutely insane speedrunning burnout strats. Stuff like that lol

God same. I have my reservations about how things are now (from what I've observed) but honestly I always have the gnawing temptation to join one again. But for now, I dont mind occassionally judging OCTs

Really dating myself here but watching stuff like Law of Talos and Escape from Nevara on the sidelines got me into OCTs waaay back in high school. Joined a BUNCH over the years. Judged a bunch too. Judging for Walking City and Tower 1-2 were my highlights. Winning AFL5 and NukeTown were too.
